The Knitting Avian Influenza (or Knitting Birds Flu)

I think I've caught something. Something serious. Cause everywhere I knit, there's birds. It must be the Knitting Avian Influenza, most commonly known as the Knitting Birds Flu. My symptoms? First, it was a case of the Little Birds, and now, I've come down full-blown Owls [Ravelry link].

And yes, there's even an Owl looking over my shoulder. There is no escape.

With knits like this, I think I might pass on a cure.

(By the way, Katie Davies, the designer of Owls is offering this pattern as a free download. Gotta love designers that are talented AND generous. And I have to thank my darling friend, Karen, for exposing me to this virus.)

Halt! Did you finish little birds? Mind you, I warned you BEFORE you started Owls, that I would be knitting it someday. I cannot be blamed for copying you this time! I can't wait to see it!

Guess what's blocking on my floor right now? Owls. Just finished last night. Now the question is whether or not to put on the button eyes....

The owls are adorable! And birds are everywhere. I noticed them all chirping on my walk to work this morning. I think they are confused with the freak warmer weather. Can't wait to see your owls!

what i'm most curious about is, what sort of buttons/beads are you going to use to define everyone's eyes? i've been struggling with this decision myself and can't seem to come to any conclusion. i'm open to suggestions!

OWLS! I'm completely in love with that pattern! Sadly, I don't have the yarn for it in my stash and I can't buy any new yarn for awhile. (sigh) Can't wait to see yours though!
