See that plain patch of wall? Well, it was begging for something fun. So when I saw the swatch portraits from the purl bee, inspiration hit.I grabbed some large quilting hoops and covered them with fabric. Then I took it one step further and put some foam board behind them so they could be used as bulletin boards. The result...
Now all my random postcards and thing-a-ma-bobs are all out in the open. Very inspiring, indeed. To see some notes detailing what made it on my inspiration wall, check out the flickr page.

Love this idea! I am a big fan of bulletin board type things and this is such a unique way to hang things. Looks great, Kara!
What a great way to showcase some fun memories. I think I might have to snag this idea for my Artisan space...with these old plaster walls, it is harder to hang things but these lighter weight hoops might be just the thing. Thanks for sharing!
I love the wall! Glad to see your Gilmore Birthday made it up there. I still think that is a fantastic idea.
SO fun Kara-Lara. I love it (and you).
Can't wait to see you tomorrow!
Thats an awesome idea. I had seen the fabric hoops before but putting foam behind them is great. Now they are pretty and functional.
I've been wanting to put up an inspiration board, but didn't want a standard square board. This is such a great idea!!! I may have to borrow it :-)

Love it! It's really dress up the wall nicely. and so cute!
Some friends made something similar to jazz up boring cubicles, but I love the idea of putting foam board on the back. I might have to do that sometime soon....
