Bikes, it's what's for dinner.

My friend, Zannah, got married last Friday (YA YA!). So the Tuesday before, Erin and I took her out for a little send-off from singlehood. We decided to do something that was as cheesy as it was fun, thus we went to Color Me Mine (one of those paint your own pottery kind of places).

Being on my bike kick, I naturally painted this...

I think the bike looks like Adelaide, sans basket.

It's a plate, one that I have no real use for. Like that matters.

Regarding my painting abilities, it's a little shaky, but hey, so is my riding sometimes. Also, the bike is a little off-centered. But to me, it just looks like the bike is trying to ride off the plate and have an adventure.

Oh, I think that is super cute! I love it....

BTW, I ended up going back to Target and buying more Liberty. <3 that stuff!

I'm amazed at the detail you painted on that! It would look awesome on a coffee table, to hold jewelry on a dresser, or small sewing items in your craft room!

That's fantastic! I love the idea of personalizing dinner ware.

The plate looks so good.
Next time, you can add a matching cup/mug, and so on...pretty soon you'll have a complete set. :-)

That is way too adorable. It does look like it is in motion, ready to take off into your salad! I can see this spawning a new addiction...

oh my gosh, you painted a bike on a plate!! I'm ridiculously impressed, because I've toyed with the idea of doing some doodles on dinnerware myself, but lack confidence- what happens if I make a mistake, etc. Your bike is so amazing!! I'm so inspired. Your plate looks AMAZING!!

so cute! Now you can make bicycle inspired meals to eat out of it. Like, First Gear Oatmeal or Ten Speed Soup!

I'm super impressed. When I first glanced at the photo I thought it was something you had bought -- my friend E gave me a mug with bikes on it that look just like this one!

That's impressive! Like others have said before, I was thinking "where did she buy that?". A beautifully detailed little number.
