Little Things: More Penguin Classics

They're here! My new Penguin cloth-bound classics.

There's Emma, Treasure Island, Lady Chatterley's Lover, The Odyssey, and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass.

I think they fill out the shelf nicely.

You know, maybe I should actually start reading these instead of just looking at how pretty they are...

I covet your shelf (luckily my DH also has a slight obsession with Penguin Classics so I won't need to sneak into your house at night to look at these. Your faux-knitted rug, maybe.)

I have a considerable Dover Classics collection which I displayed, despite their $1.00 price, for years. I still don't want to read them because they make me look so... intellectual?

They really are very pretty. But I agree that maybe you should read them too. Especially the ones you haven't read before.

They do look so pretty!!!

I would read a different copy of them. You risk bending the binding, and then they wouldn't be as cute.

I'm very envious! So pretty all together on the shelf!

I did read my copy of P&P and it looks fine, so definitely don't be afraid to enjoy them.

Eeeek! They're gorgeous! Not to judge a book by its cover, but I think my favourite is Alice. Or perhaps Wuthering Heights. Or maybe P&P. Hmm. All so beautiful - but you must read them, they look pretty tough to me :)

Those are so pretty! I've never thought of getting cloth-bound editions of books! My entire Jane Austen collection is cheap Modern Library. This looks like a project I need to look into!
