Am I crazy to cape?

Seeing this...

Inspired me to buy a pattern for this:

Vintage Cape Pattern

Am I being a tad eccentric? (BTW...only the short version is in consideration. I am not completely cuckoo-ca-choo.)

no your not crazy at all! I have seen some fabulous capes out there in the blog world. I wish it got cold enough here in Australia to wear one. I say go forth and be caped!

I love it! So if you're crazy, I am too.

(Somehow I'm thinking you don't find that too reassuring)

I like it. I would go for it with something like wool herringbone.

You could totally pull it off. Me? Not so much. Do it!

No. I desperately want a camel coloured cape.

I think capes are swell! I also think that the right attitude can help a person pull off anything!!! Can't wait to see!

I think you are crazy. A cape!?! Maybe you could start collecting dalmatians too. (Heh, you know I kid. I do think you are a little cray-cray but if anyone could pull a cape off it would be you.)

being crazy is fine as long as you are happy. and warm. this life philosophy works out for me, anyway. i love capes. so swishy and fun.. the one on the left is 100% hilarious, i love the fact they couldn't even *draw* a happy face on someone who had to wear it.

Go for the floor length cape or not at all.

I like capes very much, so stylish and elegant... unfortunately in autumn/winter I am far too cold for a cape when cycling (wind catches from underneath... brrr!) and too hot in spring... but when you've finished your project, do share... I am trying to learn sewing clothes from patterns =)

We all have our crazy-old-lady tendencies as you taught me, and I am loving thinking that your will be the crazy-old-cape lady! With fab shades and bright red hair! Also, I saw a cape at the RL cocktail party and the girl look very chic -I thought of you!

Nobody is going to be cooler on their bike than you are! Go for it!!

BTW: does the fair isle beret go with the cape, or does it require a different kind of hat (besides maybe a bike helmet)?
