Telecommuting by Bicycle

So apparently a remedy for nojo is not in some big grand gesture, but in simple decisions.

I was working from home today and asked myself, why am I cooped up indoors? That is what Nojo Kara would do. Why don't I take advantage of the free wi-fi at Liberty Park and go work there?

So I packed up Adelaide and we went to the park. Of course we picked one of our favorite spots, right by the lake.

Hard at work

Now that is an office with a view.

I know Adelaide likes it.

PS - I will say working at the park is not all unicorns and rainbows. When you sit by the lake, at times you catch whiffs of duck poo. But you know, the pros still outweigh that con.

PPS - The irony of posting this while I am supposed to be working is not lost on me.

Looks to me like you're lounging and writing blog posts. I guess you can get away with a lot more on your cushy new team. It's OK, I'm still here late on a Friday afternoon to help keep the lights on.

Ain't technology great?!

I do it on a regular basis and FWIW I am much more productive outside the confines of the four walls of an office. Fortunately my company realizes and supports it.

What an awesome plan! I should totally do this tomorrow, except the forecast is for rain here in the southern Australian state. Something that's not unusual here especially in winter. Perhaps I'll do that next weekend?

Welcome back to the blogosphere, I'm glad you found your mojo. I've missed your posts.

I think the doctor just wrote me the same prescription for the nojo condition. Time to go for a summer ride!

Beautiful! It looks so green. I need me some green. We haven't had any rain since last October. Can you believe that? Our little duck pond here is almost entirely dried up.

I'm supposed to be working but instead I'm reading your blog....I love the view.
Glad to see you're back and posting - if you have your lunch there you may end up with a few feathered friends on the inviting blanket!

That's a lot better in your secondary office! First time I hear about wi-fi in a park although I shouldn't be surprised! Technology is so awesome nowaday!

@Maryse

Dunno about WiFi in the park, but they make these great little things called "aircards" that will allow you to go online via the nearest cellular tower.
