T-shirt Necklace

In further efforts to dash nojo to bits, I've done another quick craft project...the T-shirt Necklace.

T-shirt Necklace

My friend, Heidi, was wearing one last night at our knitting group. When asked about it, said she found this tutorial via...you guessed it...Pinterest!

So I decided to take advantage of some time off and whip one up this morning. It is a VERY easy project that anyone can do.

Start with an old cotton tee.

T-shirt before

Cut.

Cut

Stretch.

Stretch

Wrap around the side seams of shirt with scraps.

T-shirt Necklace finished

And wear.

T-shirt Necklace 2

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy.

Kara, you are stunning. I love your blog. This necklace is genius. And I love how you said, easy peasy lemon squeezy. My 5 year old (Lucas) says that all the time - I love it!

I repinned this today and am planning to make it during the hurricane this weekend! Super excited! Only hope that it comes out as cute as yours.

Impressive! I never would've imagined it came from a t-shirt! Great choice of t-shirt for the colors!

Ali-
I liked the shirt but when I put it on I thought it wasn't flattering on me. So instead of not wearing it, I decided to do it up. I do like the effects of the stripes in the necklace!

Very cool! I have been wanting to make one of these for ages but never get around to it. I don't actually own many t-shirts. Maybe Corey has one that I can chop up.

Love. That necklace looks perfect on you. It is also useful for bike riders because it won't clink too much on bumps and slam up and down. Thanks for this post, I think I need some sort of instant gratification project as I have lost my crafty -sewing mojo, I hope it comes back soon.

I've seen these floating around on Pinterest, but I wasn't sure I could pull the look off. Now that I've seen yours, I'll be doing it when I get back from my vacation.
Thanks Kara.
